Itinerant Preacher

Preach The Word! That was the calling Charles received at the age of 18…and its the calling that he seeks to fulfill before the LORD to this day.

Brought up in a Christian home he attended the local Brethren Assembly in Coatbridge with his parents. By the age of 11 circumstances changed and the family no longer attended the Church. By the age of 16 he attended Hamilton Baptist and then Coatbridge Baptist Church. Following his commitment to the LORD JESUS in May 1980, Charles began preaching The Gospel.

Charles and his wife Jill are members of the Broxburn Baptist Church in West Lothian and today, some 30 years on, he is still Preaching the unchanging message of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and Him crucified.

Over the last 2 years alone, Charles has had the privilege of preaching, teaching and expounding the inspired Holy Scriptures in Churches and Assemblies all over Central Scotland and beyond, a calling He does not take lightly.. The desire of his heart is still to “Preach the Word in season and out of season.”

Charles is willing to speak at and accept invitations to speak at Church services, Conferences, Evangelistic meetings and would be willing to preach over a number of weeks to work through a subject or indeed a Book from the Bible.

As a family the Sommervilles would greatly appreciate your prayer support as Charles knows that without prayer this ministry would be very difficult indeed.

In fulfilling his calling before the LORD , Charles would count a joy and a privilege to be of assistance to you
